Well hi there, I’m Elizabeth. I am a wife, stay-at-home mom of two little ladies, and Florida-based home cook. I’m very into anything breakfast, a good cup of coffee, the corner piece of cake. And oh, I have a love for chips and salsa – good salsa.

The Lume Kitchen has been an idea that has been brewed for some time. Before I was a mom, I was an early childhood educator. I love to teach, but I also love being at home with my kiddos even more. Throw in my passion for spending time in my kitchen and this is where The Lume Kitchen came about. My heart behind The Lume Kitchen is to inspire you to see your kitchen as more than just a place where meals are made. It is the one room in your house where so many memories can be made. Just think about the smell of those cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning, or imagine if you could make your child’s birthday cake that will be seen in pictures for years to come. Or what about having your kiddos join you in the kitchen to help with dinner prep while you chat about their day at school? I could go on and on. Our kitchen, The Lume Kitchen, is where all of this and more takes place. I would love nothing more than for you to join me in my home. So here in this small corner of the internet is how we are going to do just that! Join me and my kiddos, some friends, and family in my kitchen and I will teach you all I know.

Our
Bakes

The first ‘real’ cake I made was for my oldest daughter’s first birthday. I was so excited to share this cake with family and friends. It turned out to be pretty tasty and didn’t look half bad. From then on, I was hooked. If there was any occasion to bake a cake, I had that oven preheating and that mixer fired up! Family and friends told me I could sell these cakes. I NEVER in a million years thought I would/could ever be successful at selling cakes. Well- with a little push from my husband, I posted an ad on our neighborhood Facebook page and orders were coming in left and right. I then took a wack at a few other baked goods and before I knew it, my kitchen was a full-fledged home bakery.
